Aurore Belot is born in Brussels in 1977. She felt into photography by means of her passionate dad, who taught her the basic skills with an old analogue Canon Ftb.
Later, she turned to photojournalism in favour of a more appropriate training, putting her sensitivity at the service of causes she hardly believes in. She does not hesitate to dive into tumultuous events to bring back images that illustrates international current events.
Following a report in the heart of the Gezi revolts in Istanbul, she follows the political situation in the country and is brought little by little to cover the struggle of the Kurdish people for the recognition of their rights.
Her work focuses on social issues, traditions and the struggle of women worldwide.
While in Belgium, she covers daily politics of the European Union, the European Parliament and the Belgian political movements.
